I thought yesterday seemed "normal" but today had topped it off. As you can see, guys were playing ball and there was no smell in the air. The streets were full of cars and the cab drivers were driving like axxholes again. I bet things were very different at ground zero. Do not get me wrong, I am not saying everything is fine nor saying people just forget about the whole thing and pretend nothing ever happened. Living as close as we do, we NEED a break from it all just to keep us from going insane. New Yorkers are all still bleeding inside
but our protective shells are nice and shiny. |
